Grace Prehung Door Sandy Oak Wood Veneer Matte Silver Insert with Solid Pine Core

Door Type And Configuration

One of the many advantages of a prehung door is that you can choose to have it delivered fully assembled. This makes the installation pretty easy and straightforward; all that is required is to fit the full door construction into the assigned spot in the wall. There is no need to worry about proper alignment or hinge installation. The simple swing configuration is easy to use and versatile, offering enhanced security and privacy.

Material And Design

This stunning model features a warm, natural, sandy beige shade that is effectively accentuated by the bold matte silver details. The excellent combination of matte silver inlays and light, coastal-themed sandy oak elevates the overall look of the door and the room it graces.

Door Finish

Another advantage of this model is that it arrives prefinished, meaning it's ready to be installed and used. There is no need to worry about any additional finishing touches. The door has a beautiful sandy oak veneer that highlights the natural wood grain while the striking matte silver inserts add additional texture to the finish.

Sound/Noise Reduction

This prehung door offers reliable sound dampening through its solid oak build, which absorbs noise effectively. The factory-fitted frame creates a tight seal that prevents sound leakage between spaces, ideal for rooms where controlling noise and maintaining privacy are priorities.

Core And Construction

This model perfectly shows how quality flush construction and a solid pine core can provide excellent soundproofing and energy efficiency. The core construction encased in quality MDF veneer ensures high durability, stability, and structural integrity even after years of constant use.

FAQ

See All
A prehung door includes the door panel, a three-sided frame with jambs (left, right, and top header), pre-installed hinges connecting the panel to the frame, a pre-bored handle/knob hole, and the latch cutout. Doorknobs/levers, locksets, trims, and installation shims are not included.
To determine if you need a left- or right-hand prehung door, stand inside the doorway with your back pressed against the hinge side of the frame. If the door swings open to your left, it's a left-hand door. If the door swings open to your right, it's a right-hand door.
If your newly installed prehung door isn't latching or clicking as it should, there are likely some misalignment issues. First, check if any hinge screws are loose and tighten them. Next, make sure the strike plate is aligned. If the latch is missing the hole slightly, take a small metal file and widen the opening inside the metal strike plate.
To measure the width of the rough opening for prehung doors, place the tape between the side jack studs in the middle, top, and bottom. Measure the height from the subfloor to the header in the center, left, and right. Remember to always record the smallest measurements.
Unless your prehung door is sold and delivered prefinished, yes, you need to ensure it's sealed properly. Leaving wood or composite exposed at the top or bottom lets moisture soak into the door, causing it to swell and warp.
Prehung doors should be easy to install, but it all comes down to experience. An experienced carpenter will not take more than 2 hours to remove old trim, set the frame, shim, level, and nail in the new casing. A DIY beginner will need about 3 to 5 hours for these steps.
