Victoria Prehung Door White Oak Wood Veneer Glossy Black Insert with Solid Pine Core

Door Type And Configuration

Considered one of the most practical models, a prehung door can arrive already attached to the door jamb, so it is quite easy to install. Whether it's for a new residence or to replace a pre-existing frame, the prehung door can arrive at your doorstep fully equipped with hinges and perfectly aligned with the matching frame. If you prefer a traditional swing door setup but want to add a more refined look to your home, this model is an excellent choice.

Material And Design

The door features a classic, clean white oak color, but the additional glossy black inserts add an opulent appearance. The subtle, yet effective black details add an overall luxurious touch to the otherwise simple White Oak

Door Finish

The door is ready to be used as soon as it's delivered and installed, as it arrives prefinished. There is no need to add any additional finishing touches. The beautiful, natural-looking white veneer provides the appearance, texture, and feel of solid wood to the finish.

Sound/Noise Reduction

This prehung door effectively dampens noise through its dense oak construction, which naturally absorbs sound waves and limits sound transmission. The factory-fitted frame forms a tight seal that reduces sound leakage, ideal for any space where controlling noise is a priority.

Core And Construction

One of the many advantages of this model is its ability to contribute to energy efficiency and noise reduction. This is thanks to the flush construction and a solid pine core encased in MDF Veneer The quality construction and materials create a warp-resistant structure that ensures durable, reliable performance over time.

FAQ

See All
A prehung door includes the door panel, a three-sided frame with jambs (left, right, and top header), pre-installed hinges connecting the panel to the frame, a pre-bored handle/knob hole, and the latch cutout. Doorknobs/levers, locksets, trims, and installation shims are not included.
To determine if you need a left- or right-hand prehung door, stand inside the doorway with your back pressed against the hinge side of the frame. If the door swings open to your left, it's a left-hand door. If the door swings open to your right, it's a right-hand door.
If your newly installed prehung door isn't latching or clicking as it should, there are likely some misalignment issues. First, check if any hinge screws are loose and tighten them. Next, make sure the strike plate is aligned. If the latch is missing the hole slightly, take a small metal file and widen the opening inside the metal strike plate.
To measure the width of the rough opening for prehung doors, place the tape between the side jack studs in the middle, top, and bottom. Measure the height from the subfloor to the header in the center, left, and right. Remember to always record the smallest measurements.
Unless your prehung door is sold and delivered prefinished, yes, you need to ensure it's sealed properly. Leaving wood or composite exposed at the top or bottom lets moisture soak into the door, causing it to swell and warp.
Prehung doors should be easy to install, but it all comes down to experience. An experienced carpenter will not take more than 2 hours to remove old trim, set the frame, shim, level, and nail in the new casing. A DIY beginner will need about 3 to 5 hours for these steps.
